New Generations (Youth) Service

New Generations (Youth) Service a fifth Avenue of Service, is an extension of the Four Avenues placing specific focus on and to recognize the importance of the needs and growth of young people of all ages around the world to the future of humankind and our environment. Rotarians organize and support activities to promote literacy, learning, health, family, and personal safety among our new generations.

District Youth Protection Program

Member Login is Required

Any Rotarian or non-Rotarian volunteer who has any contact with Rotary affiliate youth under the age of 21 must take the one hour training.  All Rotarians and non-Rotary volunteers who have one-on-one contact, or are youth chair leaders or have a number of contacts with youth must take an additional 90 minutes of training and submit an affidavit and have a  Live Scan background check. This is mandated by Rotary International and required by the California Department of State.

All District Clubs who conduct Youth Programs requiring one-on-one contact with youth under the age of 21 must be certified annually by completing the Club Certification Application signed by the Club President and Club Youth Services Chair.
