ramatically and quickly? Rotary has noticed and this July 1st introduced a
new area of focus – Protecting the Environment – with eight aggressiv
e and comprehensive targets.  As Rotarians we are all asked to stand up f
or our natural world and for those whom we serve who are most impacted by
this crisis.  As Rotary we are powerful\, capable of bringing about chang
e for our communities and beyond. The presentation and discussion will be
led by John Mathers\, District 5150 Environmental Chair\, and climate acti

as held several positions with the District.  John is also the ESRAG (Env
ironmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group) representative for the Dist
rict\, a Climate Reality Project Leader\, and Co-Chair of the RCAT (Rotary
Climate Action Teams) Network. As a result of his life-long interest in t
he environment\, John’s special focus on the climate crisis has led to a
n active role in promoting education and action within the Rotary communit
 y. He has worked with a number of fellow Rotarians to build the RCAT Netwo
rk of clubs focused on taking action\, advocating\, and sharing results.
John has spoken at numerous U.S. and international clubs on climate issue
s and solutions as well as the actions Rotary International and individual
clubs are taking.  But most of all\, John speaks to the timely need for
all of us to step up to address this existential situation.   Please join
