District 5150 Interact Kick-Off 2024 Registration

 

District 5150 Interact Advisors, Faculty Advisors, Club Presidents, Youth Chairs, District Leaders, and Rotarians are invited to participate in the 2024 Interact Kick-Off Event.

In additon to connecting Rotarians and Leaders who are Champions of Youth and informing the local Rotary leadership about Interact, we want to equip YOU--our valued Interact Advisors -- with useful information and "Best Practices" that you can use to enhance the Interact experience this school year. 

Interested in starting an Interact Club? - Come to learn and be Inspired!  

We have a full agenda.  In addition to Youth Service at-a-glance, we will have interactive discussions including: 

1. Interact Recruitment...and RETENTION.  How have other Interact clubs addressed these challenges?   
2. Rotary Club Funding and Sponsorship Expectations for Interact.   Opportunities for local Rotary clubs to collaborate and CO-SPONSOR Interact clubs. 
3. Legal Issues Facing Interact:  How to protect Rotary, Interact AND YOURSELF from liability.  Topics:  copyright issues, and new statutes in California imposing criminal liability for publication of images of minors without parental/guardian consent. 
4. Developing Interact leaders: "Best Practices" from around the District, including developing a "leadership pipeline". 
5. Service Projects:  share ideas from around the District.  Any ideas for joint Rotary Club--Interact Club projects?  Should we consider COUNTY-specific service projects for Interact?   Multi-club projects?  We will highlight several amazing projects our Interactors worked on this past year. 
6. Youth Protection Certification:  what it is...and what it isn't.  Best practices to protect Interactors...while protecting YOURSELF.    
7. Rotary International Insurance Coverages:  am I covered?
