DESCRIPTION:

If you tracked the activities at COP26 in Glasgow at the beginning of November you may have been impressed with the numbers: 195+ countries, 22,000 delegates, and 14,000 journalists. But based on the written agreements made, our planet will not keep to the 1.5° Celsius target set in Paris in 2015.

As Rotarians we have a special place in our communities and in this country. We have power and we must use it. Many clubs are taking action and making a difference. On January 25 at 6PM Community Service will be hosting a presentation and discussion of what clubs are doing and what they can do. This is the Year of the Environment, both for Rotary International and for our District. Come and join us and find out what you and your club can do.
