A school for deaf children in Brazil, access to clean water in Africa and education for
girls in India have something in common. They all depend on the generosity of
individuals like you for their success. When every Rotarian gives to The Rotary
Foundation, the simple act of giving multiplies, providing the resources to support
Rotary International’s mission and creating miracles for the world’s less fortunate.
Each fall, we put the focus EREY—Every Rotarian Every Year—and ask each Rotarian
to make a financial contribution to The Rotary Foundation. District 5150 recommends an
annual donation of $250, but it can be more or less. The amount is at your discretion,
depending on your personal circumstances. The minimum is $25, and what’s most
important is your participation. We’d love to be a district with 100% of our members
contributing, because we know how much we can achieve when everyone works
together.

When you give, you earn points toward a Paul Harris Fellowship, one of Rotary’s most
prestigious honors, and your club benefits too. If it reaches $100 per capita with 100%
participation, your club will get special recognition and earn a banner to show your
members’ commitment. The Rotary Foundation invests the funds it receives for three
years and then gives almost half to RI’s World Fund to fund life-changing work around
the world. In addition, if you designate your donation to the Annual Fund-SHARE, TRF
returns an equivalent amount to your club to use for Global or District Grants. If you
prefer, you can choose to designate your donation to a specific cause instead, such as
the PolioPlus Fund or Disaster Relief, and all the funds will go to that purpose. Your
club, however, will not receive a share.

The goal of EREY is to support RI’s Mission, and we’re counting on you to respond to
this year’s appeal and give generously. When all Rotarians contribute, we have the
power to do great things in the spirit of Service Above Self, and you can make a
difference.
