Hey Fellow Rotarians!

August is Membership Month! Want to keep your club vibrant, fun, and full of purpose? Let’s talk about how we can bring in new faces AND keep our current members engaged. Here's how we GROW (attract) and GLOW (retain)!

3 Ways to GROW (ATTRACT) New Members - New members bring new ideas, energy and enthusiasm to our clubs.

1. Tell Your Rotary Story People join people. Share why YOU joined Rotary on social media, at work, or over coffee. Your story might be the spark that inspires someone to say “Tell me more!”
2. Make Events Guest-Friendly Host socials or service events designed with guests in mind. Think fun, interactive, low-pressure where they can see the impact and feel the camaraderie.
3. Invite with Intention Have someone in mind? Invite them personally. “I thought of you because…” is much more powerful than a generic ask. Bonus points if you follow up with a friendly note afterward!

3 Ways to GLOW (RETAIN) Our Members - Keeping members is just as important as bringing them in:

1. Build Personal Connections Create a buddy system, celebrate birthdays and milestones, and check in when someone’s been MIA. A little kindness goes a long way!
 2. Keep It Fresh Mix it up with engaging speakers, hands-on projects, and social hangouts. Ask members what lights them up and give it to them!
3. Give Everyone a Role People stay where they’re needed and appreciated. Invite members to lead, help, contribute even in small ways. Then celebrate those efforts big time!

The Bottom Line: When people feel welcomed, connected, and feel like they’re making a difference, they stick around and bring friends too!

Let’s grow our Rotary family and keep doing good in the world!

See you around!
