This month, we celebrate one of Rotary’s most powerful commitments: preventing disease and protecting the health of communities around the world. Rotary’s work in this area is both longstanding and deeply impactful and it continues to inspire hope where it’s needed most.

For decades, Rotarians have led the historic fight to end polio, helping reduce cases by 99.9% through courageous vaccination campaigns. Today, clubs continue supporting immunization days, cold-chain equipment, and the frontline workers who ensure every child is reached.

Beyond polio, Rotary clubs are creating meaningful change in disease prevention every day.
• In Nigeria, clubs are partnering with health agencies to distribute insecticide-treated bed nets and provide malaria education in rural villages.
• In the Philippines and the U.S., Rotary-led awareness campaigns and partnerships with local clinics are increasing access to HPV vaccinations, protecting teens from preventable cancers.
• In India, Rotary clubs continue to hold large-scale health camps offering screenings, basic treatments, and health education to thousands.
• In Guatemala and SriLanka Rotarians unite to provide cervical cancer screenings.

These are just a few examples of how Rotarians put service above self into action by preventing disease before it starts, strengthening families, and building healthier, more resilient communities.

As we highlight this month’s theme, I invite you to share Rotary’s story. Talk about the work you’ve seen, the projects you’ve supported, and the lives you’ve helped change. When more people know what Rotary is doing, more hearts open, more hands join, and more impact becomes possible.

Thank you for your dedication, your compassion, and your commitment to Unite for Good—because in this work, Every Piece Matters.
