Rotarians – we never stop trying to help others.  We serve, we continue with our beloved ongoing projects, we find new approaches – we never quit.  A need comes our way and instinctively we start looking for how to fill that need.

We don’t just look around our own communities, we search the world for where we can make a difference.  After all, charity begins at home but it certainly doesn’t need to stop there.  Plus, have you ever noticed that a dollar goes farther in locales beyond our own borders?

Or Vocational Service, of course – we insist that we include all those that might need scholarship help, both vocational and academic.  And if you scratch any Rotarian, you’re going to find a huge desire to make sure we do Youth Service.

Hope in Action – and sharing The Magic of Rotary!  That is each and every Rotarian I have ever known.

And the only reward we ever need is personal satisfaction, our private joy, that rush we all experience when we know – when at gut level we know – we have made a difference!
Here’s a little secret.  It’s OK to celebrate our work and accomplishments and successes and, well BRAG!  In Rotary, we call that The District Conference, or this year?  Celebrate Hope in Action – and I hope you can all join us in Santa Rosa from May 15-18, at the Wine Country Hyatt.  Take a look and see what you're missing if you are not there.

You can also enjoy us for the Giants game, when we plan on beating the Atlanta Braves.  Just for us (and every other fan) it is also Hello Kitty Day – June 8th.  TICKET SALES END MAY 7TH AT MIDNIGHT – so sign up today.

There is always more work to be done in Rotary, but there are also a couple of wonderful opportunities coming up for the friendship parts also.  Hope to see you in Santa Rosa and at the game!
