Lisa Wilhelm joined the Rotary Club of San Rafael in 2021, and since then has served as the Club’s Foundation and International Chair. In this role, she initiated and secured Rotary Foundation approval for two global grants—an impressive accomplishment in such a short time.

Before becoming a Rotarian, Lisa dedicated four decades to advancing human rights, freedom, and compassion around the world. Her humanitarian work took her throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the former Soviet Union. After a career defined by service, Rotary became a natural next chapter.

In October 2025, Lisa was honored at Rotary Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, as a member of the prestigious Arch Klumph Society. This distinction recognizes the Foundation’s most significant donors—those who have personally contributed $250,000 or more. Members of the Arch Klumph Society form an international community of philanthropists who champion Rotary’s mission and help ensure its work continues to build a more caring and just world for generations to come.

During her induction, Lisa shared several reflections that guide her service: “Compassion without action means nothing.” “Empathy into Impact. Hope into Action into Change.” She explained that these principles are what inspired her to join Rotary.

Lisa is the first Arch Klumph Society member from the Rotary Club of San Rafael—a milestone that brings pride to the entire club.
