NAMI Marin Walk Draws Rotarians and a Sunny Crowd at McInnis Park

On October 3rd, NAMI Marin held its annual fundraising walk at McInnis Park in San Rafael. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots
mental health organization, dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Its more than 600 affiliates across the country raise
awareness, fight stigma, and provide support and education to those living with mental health conditions and to their families.

Proud sponsors of the event included the Rotary Clubs of Novato, Novato Sunrise, and Ignacio, along with District 5150. Rotary hosted a booth at the Walk Festival, where
many visitors stopped by to learn more about our work.

Under sunny skies, and with plenty of encouragement from cheerleaders, about 200 walkers set off on the two-mile course. A great time was had by all!
