Rotary District 5150 proudly recognizes Lisa DeZordo of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Castro as our Rotarian of the Month for July 2026.
A lifelong Rotarian, Lisa has dedicated her life to advancing Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self. Active in Rotaract from an early age, she officially became a Rotarian in 2009 when she joined the Rotary Club of South San Francisco. There, she served as Club President (2012–2013) and later as Executive Secretary/Director. As a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Castro, Lisa is now completing her fourth term as Club President and will continue her leadership next year as the club’s Membership and Service Chair and Foundation Chair.
Throughout her Rotary journey, Lisa has demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead, inspire, and strengthen her clubs. Her dedication to membership growth, service, and The Rotary Foundation has helped build a vibrant Rotary experience while encouraging others to become active participants in Rotary’s work.
Professionally, Lisa is a Certified Legal Manager who has spent her career supporting small businesses through legal operations and organizational management. She has also devoted significant time to serving underserved communities, including as a grant writer for the Boys & Girls Club. Her commitment to service extends beyond her profession through active participation in club and district service projects, including the annual Bike Build, as well as her volunteer work with Openhouse, an organization serving LGBTQ+ older adults.
One of Lisa’s most significant Rotary achievements has been her leadership in securing two Rotary Global Grants totaling $200,000 to support the Adult Dysphagia Management Training for Cambodian Healthcare Professionals project. This innovative international initiative provides specialized healthcare education and training to medical professionals in Cambodia. Now in its third year, the program has trained more than 30 healthcare professionals from six hospitals in Phnom Penh and utilizes a team of 15 Rotary volunteer speech-language pathologists to improve care for more than 3,000 patients and their families.
Lisa’s passion for service, exceptional leadership, and commitment to improving lives—both locally and around the world—reflect the very best of Rotary.
Rotary District 5150 is proud to honor Lisa DeZordo as Rotarian of the Month for July 2026 for her outstanding leadership, dedication to humanitarian service, and enduring commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
