Rotary District 5150 proudly recognizes Patricia Player Maxwell of the Rotary Club of Belmont Redwood Shores as our Rotarian of the Month for September 2025.

A Rotarian for 25 years, Patricia first joined the Rotary Club of Foster City in 2000, where she served for 22 years and played a key role as Founder of the Foster City Village and an Executive Board Member beginning in 2010. She later joined the Rotary Club of Belmont Redwood Shores, where her leadership, creativity, and passion for service continue to shine.

Patricia brings a truly global perspective to Rotary. In her earlier career, she worked as a domiciling midwife in the United Kingdom, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Libya. She has lived in many parts of the world and is fluent in Arabic, Farsi, French, and German. Today, she is the owner of Maxwell’s Senior Care and Medication Management Services, which she founded in 2006 to provide quality eldercare, resources, and compassionate support for clients across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. She also champions mental health awareness and action, a cause close to her heart.

Since joining Belmont Redwood Shores, Patricia has taken on major leadership roles. She successfully organized a groundbreaking Health and Awareness Conference on Mental Health, personally inviting Rotary International President Gordon McInally to serve as keynote speaker. This past year, she mentored fellow club members in planning the second “Moving Forward” conference, securing speakers, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the event’s continued success.

Patricia currently serves as her club’s Membership Chair, where she approaches the role with great care and commitment. She personally interviews all potential members, ensuring they understand and embrace Rotary’s vision and values. To grow membership, she recently launched a highly successful evening mixer for members and prospective members who cannot attend lunchtime meetings. The event was so well received that it will now continue monthly, alongside the club’s regular meetings.

Patricia also coordinates guest speakers for the club’s lunch programs, curating a lineup of innovative and engaging presenters who enrich the Rotary experience for all. Her dedication, vision, and tireless energy have made a significant impact on her club and the wider community.

Rotary District 5150 is proud to honor Patricia Player Maxwell as Rotarian of the Month for her service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Rotary’s ideals.
