THE SAN MATEO COUNTY ROTARY CLUBS SELECT AS DISTRICT 5150’s JUNE ROTARIAN OF THE MONTH DIANNE BOBKO OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF HALF MOON BAY FOR HER UNWAVERING ENGAGEMENT AND DEDICATION!

When Dianne Bobko joined the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay in March 2009, she took to heart what it means to be engaged with one’s Rotary club and Rotary throughout the world! Dianne’s own words say it best as to why she joined Rotary:

I have always believed that to those who have been given so much there is a requisite expectation to give back. And having seen so much poverty in the world through my work assignments and personal travel, I found Rotary to be a good match.

Dianne has been true to her words, serving her club in some capacity since joining! A past club President, Dianne has served on the Club Board as Directors in charge of Club Administration and currently serves as her Clubs’ Public Relations coordinator. She also succeeded, through countless hours of focused effort, to get the club’s and club foundation’s tax filings in top-notch shape and continues to act in the critical role as liaison to the club’s’ new CPA firm.

Dianne’s effectiveness and impact on her club was exemplified during her time as Club President when the club won “Best Club Award”. Described by club members as “a wonderful friend and mentor”, Dianne has also spearheaded the Club’s’ “Service Above Self” recognition in the local Half Moon Bay local community for the past five years.

For such exceptional club engagement and service to Rotary, the San Mateo County Rotary Clubs are so happy to select and honor, as District 5150’s June Rotarian of the Month – Dianne Bobko!
