Does the thought of swirl, sniff, sip and spit excite you? If so, you’re probably a wine connoisseur and will be pleased to learn that District 5150’s Wine Appreciation Fellowship is back. Past District Governors, Jeri Fujimoto, Riki Intner and Brian McLeran are spearheading its revival and planning four gatherings over the next year for like-minded Rotarians to focus on specific wines, discuss their characteristics and quality, and learn about different varietals and wine-producing regions.
Each attendee will provide a bottle of wine to share and a dish for a potluck dinner. Meetings will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., and Brian and Laura McLeran will host the first one on Sunday, November 20, 2022, just in time to inspire some choices for holiday tables. Jeri Fujimoto and Jim Buchanan will host the second on Saturday, March 25, 2023, and Riki and Bob Intner will do the honors on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The fourth will be in Fall 2023 on a date to be determined. Space is limited, and RSVPs are required.

Please contact Jeri Fujimoto at jeri94002@gmail.com to RSVP, and she’ll let you know the type of wine to contribute and the address of the venue.

"Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life's most civilized pleasures," said Michael Broadbent, British wine critic, and the past PDGs are getting ready to prove him correct.
