Event Details

Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta has challenged Rotary club members and clubs around the world to host a Rotary Day of Service event while celebrating the 51st Earth Day. Rotary District 5150 is holding a Day of Service on April 9, 2022 in THREE locations in the Bay Area.

In each of the three counties we serve, we will host different activities to raise awareness of environmental challenges and provide solutions to meet those challenges:

Hands-on service projects
Protecting the Environment Fair: organizations and exhibitors showcasing environmental -related initiatives and products
Electric vehicle expo

Locations

Children's Island / Lagoon Park -- San Rafael /Marin County

Help us with landscaping and clean-up projects in this Frank Lloyd Wright -inspired landmark. Afterward, check out our Environmental Exhibitor Fair, and an Electric Vehicles and eBike show. Children are also welcome! First 150 to register for the landscapting and clean-up before March 15 will be provided with complementary lunch and t-shirt!

Heron's Head Park -- San Francisco

Roll up those sleeves and help us and San Francisco Recreation and Park Department with weeding, mulching, and by clean-up of Heron's Head Park. We've also partnered with En2Action and other organizations to provide an Eco Car Show, Environmental Exhibitor Fair, and other opportunities. This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly (on leash) event. First 100 to register for the planting and bay clean-up before March 15 will be provided with complementary lunch and t-shirt!

Coyote Point Recreation Area -- San Mateo

Help us with beach clean up and plant restoration projects along the beautiful Bay! Afterward, check out our Environmental Exhibitor Fair, and an Electric Vehicles and eBike show. Children are also welcome! First 150 to register for the planting and bay clean-up before March 15 will be provided with complementary lunch and t-shirt!
