COVID-19 Protocols for In-Person Gatherings

*Rotary International District 5150 looks forward to welcoming everyone back to in-person events, and doing so in a way that’s safe for guests and event personnel in accordance with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California, and the public health departments of Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties. For the 2021-2022 Rotary year, in-person events will offer a virtual option (e.g. hybrid format) and include the following protocols:

Vaccination or Test Result Verification

All in-person attendees must provide proof that they:

  • Are fully vaccinated, or

  • Have received a negative COVID-19 test (a negative PCR test administered within 72 hours of the event)

Options for Providing Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

You can show your Vaccination Record Card (CRC) from the CDC. Or you can show an image of the card, if you have a picture on your phone. Or you can use a digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California

Use of Face Coverings

Per the Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo public health orders of August 2, 2021, masks are to be worn indoors by all event participants, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings shall be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, except when actively eating or drinking (remasking in between bites and sips).

Approved face masks include KN95, N95, cloth and surgical. The following face coverings are not permitted: bandanas, gaiters and masks with valves/ventilators. If a guest arrives wearing a prohibited face covering, they will be provided with a disposable mask.

Symptom Screening

All in-person event participants will be asked to complete a brief symptom screening based upon CDC guidelines for symptoms.  Don’t put others at risk.  If you’re not feeling well on the day of the event, please stay home and join using the virtual option.

Capacity Limits

Venue capacity will be reduced to accommodate social distancing recommendations. Once a venue capacity is reached, in-person registration will close. This means in-person registration may close before the event date.

Alternative Accommodations

If you cannot show proof of vaccination or test result, do not wish to wear a mask indoors, or are not yet comfortable gathering in an indoor space, you can participate in our event virtually.
