The Mental Health Initiatives Rotary Action Group, District 5150 Chapter, is hosting its quarterly community meeting. We are thrilled to offer this exclusive session with Gordon McInally, Rotary International's President 2023-2024, who initiated mental heath and wellness as a global priority for Rotary members and the people we serve.
Speaker R. Gordon R. McInally
Gordon McInally is a member of Rotary Club of Queensferry in West Lothian, Scotland and a Rotarian since 1984. He is a 2024-2028 Trustee on the Board of Trustees of  Rotary Foundation (TRF) and previously served as Rotary International (RI) President 2023-2024 as well as an RI Board Member, among many other leadership roles.

RI leadership remains fully committed to continuing the mental health and wellness focus as a global priority initiated by McInally during his RI presidency. He takes special pride in the way Rotary members all around the world embraced this focus and the fact that it is continuing well after his term.

By erasing the stigma associated with caring about emotional well-being, raising awareness about mental health needs, and working to improve access to mental health services, backed by the resources of groups like the global RI Rotary Action Group for Mental Health Initiatives (RAGMHI), our own D5150 Chapter, and community partnerships, Rotarians will create a more hopeful, kinder, more connected, and peaceful world, step-by-step, over the long-term.

Who Should Attend:
  • D5150 Rotary members, Rotaractors, and Interactors (Rotary members outside our District are most welcome too!)
  • Community mental health services providers
  • Individuals in our communities
  • Anyone who wants to learn more about or become active in Rotary's mental health and wellness initiative

  • We will then move into an open interactive Q&A session with Gordon about our collective ideas on actions we can take to increase Club, District, and Community mental health services participation in this initiative and to overcome the challenges we face in building and sustaining momentum.
