Club Formats

Rotary offers different membership and club types to cater to your desired membership experience:

  • Rotary Club: Open to adults of all ages, typically established professionals, business leaders, and community members.  Rotary clubs focus on community and international service, leadership development, and professional networking for established professionals and leaders.

  • Rotaract Club: Traditionally for young adults aged 18–30, but now open to all adults following recent changes by Rotary International. Many Rotaract clubs still attract younger professionals, university students, and emerging leaders.  Rotaract clubs focus on developing leadership skills, fostering service-minded young professionals and students, and empowering them to take action through service.

Many Rotaract members eventually transition to Rotary Clubs as they advance in their careers and seek to expand their impact through Rotary's extensive network.  Rotary and Rotaract Clubs often work closely on service projects and community initiatives. This collaboration allows Rotaractors to benefit from mentorship and professional connections while offering fresh perspectives and energy to Rotary clubs.
